Bergen orgelsommer - Bergen International Organ Festival - Hallgeir Øgaard Westli in the Cathedral
Hallgeir Øgaard Westli was educated at the Grieg Academy (University of Bergen), where he graduated in 2008. He has since held several positions as a church organist in Stavanger and Bergen and is currently the church organist at Leikanger Church. The Rieger organ from 1997 in Bergen Cathedral is one of the largest organs in Norway. The instrument conveys both sublime poetry and the full power of the organ symphony, all within a church acoustic distinguished by clarity.
