About this event

English:
Anatolaks is a music band based in Oslo, mainly covering songs in the genres of Turkish-Anatolian and Psychedelic Rock (a fusion of Turkish folk music and rock).

The band was founded in 2024 by Arda Ünlüsoy (drums, back vocal), Burak Kara (vocal, electric guitar), Yavuzer Çetin (electric guitar) and Numan Hekimoğlu (bass guitar). Emre Önder Güner (bağlama/saz) and Ahmet Emin Memiş (darbuka and ney) joined later and completed the band’s final lineup.

Each member is an experienced musician who has previously performed at various well-known events in Türkiye. These six individuals, each with different backgrounds, came together in Oslo and now share a common goal: to carry the distinctive sound of Anatolia beyond borders!

Bass Corner feat. MADCAP

Calling all ravers This July we are back at @cornerteateret This time in the big room to bring you another round of Bass Corner! We are very proud to present a legendary name in jungle, drum and bass music. None other than @maddersuk "Been in the game for a long time. Fantastic DJ , consistently writing quality tracks" LTJ Bukem Madcap - DJ / Producer / Remixer - 2017 Madcap (Elliot Payne) started DJing in the early 90's. Son of a Rock N' Roll Musician Father & Piano teaching Mother, he was exposed to music from a very young age. Being so young was a stumbling block at first, but this changed in the summer of '95 when securing a job at local record shop Buzz Records, High Wycombe. This was associated with DJ Pulse and the influential Creative Wax label. Meeting with punters and promoters alike, Madcap soon found himself being booked up & down the UK for sets, including the infamous Sanctuary in Milton Keynes. One particular highlight of his DJing career so far was winning the Movement / Technics DJ Competition in 2002 at The End Night-club, as featured in DJ Magazine, this resulted in several bookings for Movement at London's Bar Rumba & across the Capital. Other notable features on Madcap is his appearance in The West Country's IDJ Magazine January 2004 after winning "Mix Tape of the Month" The competitions certainly helped and has continued to get him bookings throughout the UK. Madcap has had several long term residencies in Oxford, London, Aylesbury, Birmingham & High Wycombe. Over the years Madcap has had the pleasure of being invited for guest slots at events up & down the country including London, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Bristol, Gloucster, Leicester, Birmingham, Oxford & Exmouth to name a few. Madcap has enjoyed promoting events in local towns Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Maidenhead & London. Booking artists such as Goldie, Randall, Nookie, Break, Doc Scott, D-Bridge etc etc. Since 2006 Madcap has had a string of release on labels such as LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records, Randall's Mac II, Fokuz, Celsius & Soul Deep. He has just completed remixes for LTJ Bukem, Nookie / Cloud 9, Tom & Jerry aka 4 Hero & DJ Monita. This includes Cloud 9's Moving Shadow classic 'You Got Me Burning Up' & Nookie's Reinforced release 'A Drum, A Bass & A Piano'. Recent releases include 'Rain' on Randall's LP Pieces 2 which features Goldie, DLR, Seba & many more. 'Coming Your Way' (Fokuz) was licensed to The Drum & Bass Arena 2016 CD. 12" Vinyl pressings of Madcap's 'Hear Comes' b/w 'Settle Down' (Alongside Jaybee) was released on Soul Deep. The Methods EP was released on new label Myriad Recordings with remix work continuing on Tru-Thoughts (Original home for Bonobo) for Japanese artist Anchorsong. Creative Wax (co-run by Madcap alongside old friend DJ Pulse) was relaunched back in 2013 with a new 12" vinyl featuring a Madcap remix of Tango's Understanding b/w Spellbound (Furney Remix). Together they have released several new releases, selected back catalogue, new & retro merchandise. Other recent studio projects include working with artists such as Furney (Good Looking Records), Andy Skopes (V Recordings), Jaybee (Mac II), Paul SG (JazzSticks), Locksmith (AMA Sounds, GLR), Soul Structure (GLR, JazzSticks) & FBD Project (Moving Shadow). Remix work is in progress for Paul SG & Kaotic Chemistry (2 Bad Mice / Moving Shadow), with more music set for release via Smooth N Groove, Creative Wax & another 12" planned for early 2018 on Soul Deep. Madcap has been interviewed on several different radio shows including Ministry Of Sound & also had his tracks played on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio, 1Xtra by B.Traits, Friction, Fabio, Grooverider, Randall, Bailey & LTJ Bukem. 2013 also saw him debut at London's Fabric 'Bukem In Session' which included a promo mix featured on the clubs website https://www.fabriclondon.com/blog/view/audio-madcap-fabriclive-x-bukem-in-session-mix Joe Nebula (from Reinforced's Nebula 2) interviewed Madcap in November...
